Our diving professionals will guide and show you the best diving spots in and around Meyyafushi Maldives and the Lhaviyani atoll. Get ready to be mesmerised by your encounters with the magnificent mantas, swim side by side with a turtle, or just watch the clownfish as they playfully swim in and out of an anemone. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get a chance to get a rare sighting of a whale shark passing by on this atoll. Certified divers can sign up a day in advance at the dive centre to join any of our exciting diving excursions.

Meyyafushi Beyru
Level: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, Scuba Diver
Distance from Meyyafushi Maldives: 20 minutes by dhoni
Meyyafushi Beyru is a classic Maldivian drift dive along the outer reef of Lhaviyani Atoll. Starting at 10 metres and dropping to 25 metres, the reef features terraces and overhangs decorated with soft corals and sea fans. Stingrays rest on the sandy floor, while morays, lionfish, and soldierfish hide in crevices. Schools of tuna, trevally, and barracuda patrol the edge, with Grey Reef sharks often seen near the channel. Stronger currents may bring eagle rays or even manta rays, making this dive a thrilling mix of reef and pelagic encounters.
Faadhoo Beyru
Level: Advanced Open Water
Distance from Fushifaru Maldives: 45 minutes by dhoni
Faadhoo Beyru in Lhaviyani Atoll is a spectacular wall dive ranging from 8 to 100 metres, known for its rich marine life including lobsters, sweetlips, snappers, jackfish, napoleon wrasse, and frequent sightings of sharks and eagle rays. With medium currents and excellent visibility, it offers both reef beauty and pelagic encounters, making it suitable for divers of all levels.
Faadhoo Kandu
Level: Advanced Open Water
Distance from Fushifaru Maldives: 30 minutes by dhoni
Faadhoo Kandu is a dynamic channel dive in Lhaviyani Atoll, offering strong currents and thrilling pelagic encounters. The reef slopes from 8 metres down to 30 metres, with terraces and overhangs decorated by soft corals and gorgonians. Schools of jackfish, trevally, and barracuda patrol the channel mouth, while Grey Reef sharks and whitetip reef sharks are frequently seen cruising the edges. Stingrays rest on sandy patches, and eagle rays glide gracefully through the current. Macro life hides in crevices, with morays, shrimps, and nudibranchs adding detail to the vibrant reef. With excellent visibility and medium to strong currents, Faadhoo Kandu is a favourite for experienced divers seeking both reef beauty and pelagic action.
