SNORKELLING TRIPS
Pick up your complimentary snorkelling equipment from the dive centre and find out the best snorkelling spots around and outside of the island. Join any of our daily snorkelling trips: House Reef Snorkelling, Night Snorkelling, Snorkelling Extravaganza, or Turtle Quest. Set off on an adventure on board the traditional Maldivian dhoni or a private speedboat. Explore the vibrant coral reefs and see colourful reef fish, turtles, stingrays, and sometimes a baby shark. There is plenty to discover underwater, so be sure not to miss out on this exciting adventure!
DOLPHIN QUEST
Meet the Messengers of the Sea. According to Greek mythology, the dolphins were humans, whom Poseidon turned into dolphins to become the messengers of the sea and helpers of humans. On this quest, our experienced captain and crew will bring you to a known spot where it is common to spot them. Although there is no guarantee of seeing them as they are wild and free, more often than not, you’ll be rewarded with a remarkable sighting of these playful and intelligent creatures.
SUNSET CRUISE
This romantic excursion gives you the perfect opportunity to enjoy the best of what Mother Nature has to offer in the Maldives as you cruise across the glassy ocean at sunset. You and your partner can enjoy the sensation of the sea breeze on your skin just as the sunset sets the scene for romance. Our dhoni or luxury yacht, is a perfect standpoint for panoramic views of the sun slowly descending as the sky turns pink and gold. Relax as you admire the scenery and enjoy it with a glass of champagne and canapés. The sunset cruise is the best way to cap off your busy day.
TRADITIONAL SUNSET FISHING
Immerse yourself in a cultural experience like no other and learn a new skill while you’re at it. The art of line fishing is a traditional fishing technique that has been handed down for many generations. This significant part of the Maldivian culture is also a favourite pastime for many locals both the young and old. Experience this fun and unique way of fishing with the assistance of our skilled staff and bring your catch back to the resort. On request, the chef will prepare your fresh catch in the restaurant for a supplement.
BIG GAME FISHING
Book a private big game fishing trip with friends or family and set out on an early morning expedition in search of big game, including wahoo, marlin, and tuna. Our big game fishing boat is fully-equipped with durable and high-quality fishing gear for top performance as well as luxury amenities to make your trip more comfortable and enjoyable. Our experienced captain and crew will bring you to a spot where you have the possibility of reeling in a big catch. You can bring your catch back to the resort and ask the chef to prepare it any way you want for a small fee and share it with family and friends.
LOCAL ISLAND VISIT
Get a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of Maldivians living on the local island. The guided local island tour will take you to a nearby local island to see what life is like away from the resort. Here you’ll get a chance to see some local houses, a souvenir shop, and a local tea house where most men hang out to pass the time. As you take a stroll down the sandy streets, chances are you’ll see local fishermen bringing back their catch of the day and children on their way to school. Get an insight into a more relaxed way of life that is almost completely different from what you’re used to.
Coral Ranger Program
Best Dives Maldives is breathing life back into its house reef through a dedicated coral regeneration project. By replanting fragments damaged by bleaching, the initiative has already transformed small starts into thriving colonies. Experience the recovery firsthand on a guided snorkeling tour of the coral garden, a rewarding glimpse into how local efforts are preserving the marine ecosystem for the future.
