EXPERIENCE LEVEL FOR NON-DIVERS
PADI BUBBLEMAKER
Give your children an unforgettable holiday experience they will cherish for years to come. Young adventurers aged 8 to 10 who are comfortable in the water can join the PADI Bubblemaker program, an exciting introduction to the world of scuba diving. Under the close supervision of a certified dive instructor, children learn to use scuba equipment specially designed for them and experience the thrill of breathing underwater. The program takes place in a pool or pool‑like environment at a safe maximum depth of 2 metres / 6 feet. Lasting approximately one hour, this fun and educational session offers young explorers a unique opportunity to discover the vibrant marine life surrounding the island in a safe and engaging way.
PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Designed for non-divers aged 10 and above, the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is the perfect introduction to the underwater world. With its warm, crystal‑clear waters, the Maldives is an ideal destination to try scuba diving for the first time—and it’s sure to be a highlight of your holiday. The experience begins in shallow water, where a certified dive instructor will guide you through the basics, including how to use scuba equipment, breathe underwater, and practice essential diving skills. Once you feel comfortable and confident, you may progress to a repeat dive in open water, allowing you to explore more of the vibrant marine life. While this is not a certification course, the open‑water dive can be credited toward a PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water Diver course.
